Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Strategic Alliances Officer to join the team! Job Overview: The individual in this role leads Amica's strategy and execution across certain key external partnerships, including the Amica Specialty Group (ASG) and other carrier relationships. This executive drives revenue growth by focusing on the ownership of carrier, agency, and distribution channels which are integral to ASG operations, and distinct from marketing-aligned partnerships. The role requires a senior leader with deep insurance expertise, strong relationship management skills, and a track record of delivering measurable business impact. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth * Develop and implement a strategic partnership roadmap aligned with Amica's long-term growth priorities. * Own revenue targets for assigned partnership channels and identify new opportunities to expand distribution reach. * Build business cases for new partnership models and evaluate potential markets or segments for expansion. * Collaborate with business units across the company to integrate partnership strategies into enterprise plans. Amica Specialty Group (ASG) Leadership * Provide a vision and executive oversight of ASG operations, staffing, performance, and financials. * Work with management to optimize ASG's 15+ carrier relationships and $30M+ premium portfolio. * Ensure operational discipline, strong service delivery, and right-sized resourcing to maximize profitability. * Manage carrier rep relationships and profit sharing agreements to maximize revenue opportunities. * Set targets to achieve ASG goals. Carrier & Distribution Partnerships * Serve as the senior liaison with carrier partners, overseeing underwriting alignment (within Amica standards), performance reviews, and strategic initiatives. * Negotiate contracts, commission structures, and joint business plans. * Set targets, track KPIs, evaluate carrier performance, and adjust strategy to support growth and profitability goals. Relationship Management & External Representation * Build senior-level relationships across partner organizations, industry associations, and distribution networks. * Represent Amica in industry forums, executive meetings, and partnership negotiations. * Communicate performance updates, risks, and opportunities to internal executives and stakeholders. Team Leadership * Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for partnership management, agency operations, and account support. * Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. * Provide coaching and succession planning for key roles within the organization. A hybrid schedule will be available once trained to work independently, with three days reporting to our Lincoln, RI office and two days working from home. This role does not currently offer employment visa sponsorship. Additionally, annual 3% non-elective employer contribution * Annual Success Sharing Plan - Paid to eligible employees if company meets or exceeds combined ratio, growth and/or service goals * Generous leave programs, including paid parental bonding leave * Student Loan Repayment and Tuition Reimbursement programs * Generous fitness and wellness reimbursement * Employee community involvement * Strong relationships, lifelong friendships * Opportunities for advancement in a successful and growing company Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field. * 10+ years of insurance, partnerships, agency/broker or distribution channel leadership experience. * Expertise in P&C insurance, independent agency distribution or multi-carrier environments. * Proven ability to manage revenue-generating partnerships and negotiate complex agreements. * Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills. * Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
