- Job Title: Full-Time Program Director - Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu School
Overview
The Program Director at Gracie Barra plays a pivotal role in driving school growth and student engagement. The primary responsibility is the lead management process from prospect to member, ensuring a seamless experience for potential and current students. Also, the Program Director serves as a key contact for student needs, fostering a community-oriented atmosphere and supporting the school's sales and customer service goals. 3
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Management & Sales:
- Contact and follow up with hot, new, and cold leads to schedule consultations with coaches and instructors.
- Re-engage no-shows and prospects who did not initially sign up, with the goal of converting them into members.
- Track and manage all leads activity, ensuring consistent communication and follow-up.
- Execute sales strategies during consultations, including program explanations, pricing, scheduling, and how Jiu-Jitsu can support personal goals.
- Student Engagement & Front Desk Operations:
- Act as the primary point of contact at the front desk, greeting students and providing assistance with questions, membership inquiries, or other needs.
- Build strong relationships with students, ensuring they feel supported and part of the Gracie Barra community.
- Encourage students to participate in upsell opportunities, such as purchasing gear (e.g., t-shirts), signing up for private classes, and attending events, using a friendly and supportive approach.
- Classroom & Instructor Support:
- Assist instructors during classes as needed, with a particular focus on supporting kids' programs.
- Be knowledgeable about the school's programs and able to step in when necessary to help prospects understand the benefits of Jiu-Jitsu, especially when instructors are unavailable. Measurable Goals and Success Indicators:
- Book over 75% of all leads for a consultation.
- Ensure at least 75% of booked appointments result in a school visit.
- Generate at least 30 new members per month.
- Help maintain a monthly cancellation rate of 3.5% or less through excellent customer service and student engagement. Skills &
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to build trust and rapport with parents, adults, and children.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required , with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students and parents in both languages.
- Sales and lead management experience , including follow-up, appointment setting, and guiding prospects through a decision-making process.
- Customer service -driven mindset, with a genuine interest in helping students feel welcomed, supported, and engaged long-term.
- Organizational and time-management skills , able to track leads, appointments, and follow-ups consistently and accurately.
- Confidence in presenting programs and pricing , explaining value clearly while aligning Jiu-Jitsu with individual goals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, people-focused environment , managing multiple conversations and responsibilities throughout the day.
- Team-oriented attitude , willing to collaborate closely with instructors, coaches, and staff to support classes and student experience.
- Comfort working with kids and parents , especially in a youth program environment.
- Problem-solving skills , able to handle questions, objections, scheduling conflicts, and student concerns calmly and professionally.
- Basic computer and CRM proficiency , including scheduling software, lead tracking systems, and communication tools.
- High level of professionalism and reliability , representing the Gracie Barra brand and values at all times.
- Goal-oriented and accountable , motivated by clear performance metrics and continuous improvement. Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
