SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Operations Analyst to join our team. As an Sales Operations Analyst, you will serve as the central hub between our data, our Area Managers, and our external rep agencies. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of our pricing and customer portals while providing high-touch support to the field. You will ensure our sales force has the leads, samples, and information they need to close deals efficiently. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Support & Agency Coordination * Serve as the primary point of contact for Area Managers and independent sales rep agencies, providing support via email and phone calls to resolve inquiries and provide resources. * Track all new account openings and proactively coordinate with local reps to ensure a professional introduction and smooth transition. * Research and identify high-potential leads to fuel the pipeline for the outside sales team. Pricing & Data Integrity * Maintain and update current price files, ensuring accurate data for both active and discontinued items. * Manage and update pertinent product and company information for large-scale customers utilizing third-party vendor portals. * Ensure all sales promotions and marketing collateral are accurately distributed to all reps and agencies in a timely manner. Operational Support * Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to ensure data alignment and support integrated business planning. * Manage the inventory and outbound flow of product samples. * Execute a systematic follow-up process with reps regarding sent samples to track conversion and feedback. Data Analysis & Reporting * Build and maintain automated reports and visualizations (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel) to provide real-time visibility into sales health. * Analyze historical sales data to identify seasonal trends, market shifts, and emerging customer behaviors. Strategic Growth & Market Intelligence * Identify untapped market segments or "white space" within existing accounts for upselling and cross-selling. * Research competitor pricing, product offerings, and market share to help position our sales team effectively. * Measure the effectiveness of sales campaigns, promotions, and incentive programs. Strategic Administrative Support * Provide direct support to the VP of Sales in day-to-day activities, including special projects, reporting, and administrative tasks. * Act as the liaison between internal departments and the external sales force to ensure brand alignment. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: * Accuracy and timeliness of price file updates. * Response time to Area Manager and Rep Agency inquiries. * Sample-to-Sale conversion tracking accuracy. * Lead generation volume and quality. QUALIFICATIONS: * 2+ years in sales support, sales operations, or a junior analyst role. * Exceptional phone and email etiquette; ability to build relationships with remote agencies and Area Managers. * Intermediate/Advanced Excel (for price file management and data tracking). * Experience navigating Vendor Portals (e.g., Retailer Link, CommerceHub, or similar). * Familiarity with CRM software. * Superior "follow-through" skills--specifically regarding sample tracking and lead management. * Ability to pivot between analytical price updates and reactive sales support calls throughout the day.
