Lifetime Remodeling Systems is a leading design/build firm located in Portland, OR. We are in our 26th year and have both an exterior division (siding, windows & roofing) as well as a design/build division (kitchen, bath, full home remodel). Our Design/Build division specializes in kitchens, bathrooms & full home remodels/additions and needs a qualified individual that can estimate & oversee these projects. This position demands extensive construction knowledge in the remodeling field, the ability to work closely with our design team, & our in-house carpenters and sub-contractors and to manage the projects while communicating effectively with our homeowners. This position also demands that the applicant is comfortable utilizing technology such as cloud-based applications (Dropbox, CRM software, BuilderTrend etc...) as we are a technology-driven firm. Responsibilities: Meet with potential clients in coordination with our design team to discuss the project scope and general budget guidelines to see if we're a good fit. Work with our design team when a design contract is sold to create an accurate estimate for the client in MS Word (exported to PDF format). Must be comfortable with the MS Office suite including Excel and have solid estimating skills (writing clear, and concise estimates, projecting costs via excel). Meet with the clients and design team at our showroom once the estimate is complete to present the estimate, answer any questions and close the deal. Manage all remodeling projects sold as the project manager including; -Site visits to ensure the work that was designed is the work that is being completed -Ensuring that the project schedule is updated weekly in BuilderTrend -Be the primary point of communication for the homeowner -Write change orders as necessary and inform the homeowner -Collect all deposits due on the project according to the payment schedule -Close out the project with the homeowner upon the projects completion and request a 5 star review Professionally represents Lifetime Remodeling Systems. Written and verbal communication skills are a necessity for this position as it blends both sales, and project management into a singular position. Supervise crew member performance, mentors, directs & trains carpenters on installations as necessary to ensure the work is being completed at a high level, and to the design our design team provides. Recruit and interview new carpenters for our team. Follows company and manufacturer guidelines regarding use of tools & equipment. Ability to source materials from partner and preferred suppliers. Read and interpret plans and blueprints to ensure they are being built to code correctly. Will be required to pass a background check and drug test. Physical Requirements: This role demands the ability to step in as needed to get things done at a high level. Required Experience: +10 years' experience in residential remodeling/project management +10 years' experience in estimating remodeling projects Required Skills: General understanding of trade work (plumbing, electrical, etc.). Rough & finish carpentry including but not limited to windows, roofing, siding, door installation, cabinetry, flooring, drywall finishing, paint, tile, and framing. Computer skills including MS Office Suite, the use of cloud computing platforms (i.e BuilderTrend). Estimating skills for kitchen, bath, and full home remodeling projects.
