Location: Reston, VA Territory: Reston, Herndon, Great Falls, McLean, Oakton, Vienna About the Role FirstLight Home Care of Reston is seeking an experienced Home Care Business Development Manager / Community Liaison to lead referral relationship growth across Northern Virginia. This role is designed for a seasoned home care or healthcare sales professional who understands referral-based selling and thrives on building long-term partnerships. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Key Responsibilities * Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living, memory care, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and other healthcare providers * Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and educational sessions with referral partners * Develop and execute a structured territory plan to generate new client referrals * Establish and maintain a consistent schedule of in-person visits within the assigned territory * Collaborate with intake, care coordination, and operations teams to ensure smooth service starts and positive client experiences * Attend networking events, healthcare meetings, and community outreach activities * Track referral activity, pipeline progress, and outcomes using CRM tools * Provide regular updates and market insights to leadership Required Qualifications * Minimum of 2+ years of direct home care, home health, hospice, or senior care sales experience (required) * H.S. Diploma or GED, college preferred. * Proven success in referral-based, relationship-driven healthcare sales * Demonstrated experience working with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living, memory care, physicians, case managers, or discharge planners * Strong understanding of the local healthcare and senior care referral ecosystem * Proven ability to build and maintain long-term professional referral relationships * Ability to work independently and manage an assigned geographic territory * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills * Positive attitude and a passion for helping others. * Ability to travel within the community as needed * Proficiency with CRM systems (Zoho or similar) and Microsoft Office * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Applicants without direct home care, home health, hospice, or senior care referral sales experience will not be considered.
