Full description of the position

The Inside Sales Specialist owns the inbound and assigned sales pipeline for residential and commercial pest control, termite, and bed bug services. This role converts qualified opportunities into booked appointments and service agreements through consultative selling, disciplined follow-up, and strong CRM hygiene. Success is highly metric-driven, including maintaining a minimum 50% close ratio. Essential Job Functions, other duties assigned: Sales & Closing * Respond to inbound inquiries and assigned leads quickly and professionally; qualify needs and recommend the right service plan. * Quote services accurately, explain value clearly, and close the sale into a scheduled appointment or service agreement. * Maintain a 50%+ close ratio on qualified opportunities and consistently hit individual sales goals (weekly/monthly). * Use structured discovery and objection-handling to convert price shoppers into confident buyers. * Upsell/cross-sell appropriate add-ons (e.g., termite, bed bug, upgrades) based on customer needs and eligibility. Lead Management & Follow-Up * Own your pipeline end-to-end: follow up on quotes, no-shows, abandoned calls/forms, and unconverted opportunities. * Execute a consistent multi-touch follow-up cadence (call/text/email as applicable) to maximize conversion. * Outbound calls are limited and targeted, primarily for warm follow-up, quote conversion, reactivation/retention, and reschedules. Scheduling & Customer Coordination * Schedule service efficiently using service area, availability, and priority guidelines; set clear expectations on timing, prep, and next steps. * Coordinate handoffs with operations/technicians when special considerations exist (access, pets, prior history, urgency, callbacks). * Reduce cancellations by confirming appointments, addressing concerns early, and reinforcing service value. CRM & Sales Administration * Document every opportunity accurately: source, notes, objections, next steps, outcome, and service details. * Maintain clean pipeline stages so forecasting and reporting reflect reality. * Track and report daily activity and results (contacts, quotes, booked jobs, close rate, revenue) using dashboards or scorecards. Customer Retention Support * Handle inbound concerns tied to sales and scheduling; retain customers through solution-focused conversations. * Recover at-risk customers by clarifying expectations, offering appropriate service adjustments, and coordinating follow-up when needed.
