Overview
: We are currently seeking a full-time Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant to join our team. This position works under the guidance of an Enrolled Agent and supports both business clients with a variety of accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working directly with clients, and enjoy being part of a close-knit team. Please note: This is an IN-PERSON position based in our Vero Beach office and is NOT available for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for small businesses
- Prepare regular payroll reports and process payroll for multiple clients
- File monthly and quarterly sales tax reports in compliance with Florida regulations
- Perform monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
- Assist in year-end closing and preparation for tax filings
- Communicate directly with clients regarding financial data and reporting
- Work with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
- Support the Enrolled Agent with any additional bookkeeping or financial tasks
Qualifications
:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines
