Looking for drivers with at least 1 year of experience. Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements preferred. Will help with getting Hazmat Endorsement. Description of Job: 1. Drivers must be reliable, must report for duty on time whenever assigned. 2. Drivers must be knowledgeable about equipment and must be expert in handling their equipment. Driving ability must be above reproach. 3. Review and complete necessary paperwork resolve any problems or questions and verify Dispatch before departure. Paperwork should be turned in promptly and would include the following: * Shipping documents, Delivery B/L, Purchase orders, Customer manifests, VIR, Load count sheets, Driver's daily logs. 4. Pre-trip equipment to meet standard of Company and DOT regulations. * Placards * Understand proper hook and unhook procedures * Arrange for minor repairs * Notify dispatch regarding major problems * Check for equipment damage 5. Load and deliver loads in a prompt and courteous manner, adhering to customer and State requirements. * Prompt good customer relations - be alert to sales opportunities * Park safely * Determine correct delivery location * Distribute weight properly * Stay with equipment while loading and delivering (count, observe product) 6. Adhere to all safety policies. * Be prepared to handle emergencies. * Report all personal or equipment accidents promptly. * Be knowledgeable regarding laws and regulations that govern their duties and use their equipment. * Maintain a spotless driving record and portray a good public image on the road. 7. Drivers must maintain a professional appearance at all time. This would include personal appearance, proper dress, cleanliness, and neatness. 8. Maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and management. 9. Drivers must post-trip equipment and alert Dispatch to any problems. 10. Manage on duty and off duty times so as to assure proper rest. 11. Keep equipment clean and fueled at trip completion. Inside of trailer should also be cleaned. 12. Adhere to call in schedule. 13. Drivers should select shortest practical, safe routes.
