About the Role We are a high-quality pool installation business on O'ahu focused on custom residential and commercial pools and spas professional project execution. We are seeking an experienced Swimming Pool Construction Superintendent who holds an active Hawaii C-49 Swimming Pool Contractor license (or qualifies to act as a Responsible Managing Employee) to lead field operations and partner in building a reputable, scalable business. This is a key leadership role, not just a job. The right candidate will have real hands-on pool construction experience and pride in quality workmanship. Duties * Act as the licensed C-49 qualifier / RME for the business * Provide hands-on supervision of excavation, structural shell, plumbing, equipment installation, finishes, and startup * Assemble field crew to perform high quality work * Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and labor crews * Ensure all work complies with Hawaii building codes, permitting, and inspection requirements * Lead and supervise all phases of pool construction projects, including excavation, plumbing, concrete work, tile installation, and finishing. * Coordinate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to align project goals and resolve issues promptly. * Oversee quality control measures by reviewing blueprints, schematics, and construction plans; ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards such as OSHA regulations. * Coordinate with project manager to track cost, adhere to schedule, comply with contracts, and implement effective cost control strategies. * Conduct regular site inspections using tools like the ohmmeter for electrical testing and ensure compliance with safety protocols using OSHA standards. * Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, progress tracking, and communication. * Supervise on-site personnel by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, providing training on safety procedures, and fostering a productive team environment. * Ensure accurate reading of schematics and blueprints to guide installation processes effectively. * Participate in project planning, sequencing, and constructability input * Support inspections, punchlists, and final turnover Experience * 10+ years of professional experience in construction with a focus on swimming pool or heavy civil projects. * Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes. * Ability to read technical schematics accurately and utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing during installation phases. * Excellent management skills with a track record of supervising teams efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality control and safety compliance.
