Job description IV Medical Services is looking to fill multiple positions with experienced self-motivated medical billers with the desire for a stable long-term career. We are a growing multi-office healthcare company responsible for the end-to- end revenue cycle process for our clients that is offering an excellent opportunity for the right candidate in our Hauppauge office. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Charge entry w/surgical coding validation * Payment posting and denial management * AR follow-up including the investigation/resolution of discrepancies in accounts receivable records, identifying denial trends, combatting denials, and writing appeals * Contacting patients to collect and follow up on overdue invoices * Maintain accurate and detailed records of collection activities and communications * Communication with clients/management regarding collection obstacles and metrics met The ideal candidate will have: * Minimum one (1) year experience * Ability to handle multiple accounts while maintaining a positive attitude * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently * Strong computer skills preferred including working with various billing programs as well as Microsoft Office * High attention to detail and organization * Proactive approach to problem-solving, and process improvement * Ability to thrive in an environment of change and growth * Surgical billing a plus, especially ORTHOPEDICS, PLASTICS, and DERMATOLOGY specialties Salary is Commensurate with Experience Job Type: Full-time, in-office Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Paid time off Schedule: * Monday to Friday Education: * High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: * ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred) * Medical Billing: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Paid time off Education: * High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: * ICD-10: 1 year (Required) * Medical Billing: 1 year (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Hauppauge, NY 11788: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
