Company Description We are an independent adjusting company with offices in Arizona and Iowa. We are expanding our coverage territory and are seeking skilled and experienced Field Adjusters to join our claims team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' verifiable experience handling property claims for insurance carriers and / or independent adjusting firms. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have all the necessary equipment and transportation to complete thorough property field claim inspections per company guidelines. General Description: As a Field Adjuster, you must be proficient in estimating various damages to residential dwellings and commercial buildings, investigating the causation of losses, reviewing insurance policy information and completing inspection reports on your findings. Field Adjusters will work under the supervision of managers to ensure appropriate information / documentation is secured per company guidelines. Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Requirements for Consideration: * High school or equivalent * Valid driver's license and proof of insurance * Minimum of 5 years of experience as a property field adjuster or similar role * Possess Xactimate token and proficient in writing estimates * Ability to conduct thorough inspections of damaged property * Proficient in obtaining proper photographs to document damages * Ability to prepare an accurate and comprehensive scope of damages * Pass a background check * Pass drug screening * Ability to work independently and follow direction Compensation: * The Field Adjuster position is compensated on an hourly basis for the reasonable and necessary time required to complete the directed activities * Mileage to and from field inspections is compensated at the current IRS rate * Incidental expenses will be considered with prior approval from the manager Preferred Qualifications: * Completed professional designations such as AIC, HAAG or equivalent. * Experience with both residential and commercial property claims * Reliable and accountable for assignments * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications * Ability to manage time effectively * Ability to work irregular hours as needed Physical Requirements * Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds to include lifting a ladder in and out of the trunk of a car * Ability to climb ladders and traverse roofs, this includes the ability to work at heights while inspecting roofs and attics * Ability to crouch and stoop to inspect confined attic spaces and go beneath homes into crawl spaces * Ability to work outdoors in the heat all year round, especially during summer months Pay: $40.00 - $80.00 per hour Application Question(s): * Do you have your own Xactimate token? * Do you have a valid driver's license?
