Texas Subs is a growing conglomerate of partnerships that specialize in operating Subway restaurants. The ideal candidate assists the store manager in the overall management of a Subway restaurant location. The duties include but are not limited to: directing,coordinating, and participating in the preparation, warming, and wrapping of food served or prepared by the restaurant; collecting money or payments from in-house customers; directing food service personnel to ensure food adheres to standards of quality while also maintaining cleanliness of restaurant and equipment; coordinating activities of workers engaged in keeping business records, collecting payment, ordering supplies, and delivery of food items purchased. Assists in the training, development, and evaluation of new employees in the store. May contact prospective customers to promote sales. Tasks and Competencies * Manages staff of 2-5 employees. * Assigns, oversees, and evaluates the work of employees. * Assists store manager in daily operations of store. * Provides on-the-job training for new employees. * Delegates and assists in all facets of restaurant operations. * Ensures employees clock in and clock out for scheduled shifts. * Ensures building and equipment are safe and sanitary. * Our ideal candidate must be reliable, self-motivated, customer service oriented, friendly, highly organized, and business oriented, present a professionali appearance and positive attitude. Education: High school graduate or equivalent with emphasis on customer service skills. Experience: 6 months or more of food service experience in a restaurant environment. Skills needed: * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to interact with all levels of employees. * Computer skills helpful. Physical: Must be able to work any station in the restaurant when needed, and operate the cash register as appropriate. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to work long shifts.
