*Technical Sales Representative - IP Camera - Network - Subnet Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid / Travel Required) Job Type: Contract (1099) -> Path to Full-Time Compensation: $25 -$30 per hour + Sales Commissions Industry: Utilities, Substations, Critical Infrastructure Company: SubProTech LLC About SubProTech SubProTech delivers advanced surveillance, monitoring, and asset-protection solutions for utilities and critical infrastructure. We work directly with utilities, engineering firms, and infrastructure owners who need reliable, field-proven technology --and sales professionals who can confidently bridge the gap between technical detail and executive decision-making. The Opportunity We are seeking a strong, tech-savvy Sales Representative who understands IP camera systems and networking--and can also support troubleshooting in the field when needed. This is a hybrid sales + technical role , ideal for someone who can sell solutions, not just products. This position starts as a 1099 contractor with an hourly rate of $25 -$30/hour, plus commission on sales , and offers a clear path to full- time employment as the company scales. Key Responsibilities * Drive new business development and sales across utilities, substations, and critical-infrastructure markets * Present and sell SubProTech solutions to utility decision-makers, including Operations, IT, OT, Engineering, and Executive leadership * Support technical discovery, site assessments, and solution design * Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support , including troubleshooting when required * Configure and support Axis camera systems and Axis Camera Station (experience preferred) * Understand and communicate: * IP cameras and VMS platforms * Basic networking concepts (IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, wireless, fiber) * Travel to customer sites as needed for sales support, demos, installs, or issue resolution * Act as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal teams Required Experience & Skills * Proven sales experience , preferably in technology, security, utilities, or infrastructure * Strong technical aptitude with: * IP cameras and video systems * Networking fundamentals (subnets, connectivity, troubleshooting) * Experience with Axis Communications cameras and platforms is a major plus * Ability to explain technical solutions clearly in a sales-focused manner * Comfortable working in industrial, outdoor, and utility environments * Strong communication, professionalism, and follow-through * Willingness to travel regionally and nationally Preferred / Bonus Experience * Utility, substation, or critical-infrastructure experience * Familiarity with SCADA or OT environments * Experience participating in or leading technical sales calls * Thermal imaging, radar, or advanced analytics experience Contractor Requirements * 1099 contractor status * Valid driver's license, vehicle, and basic tools * General liability and auto insurance * Ability to pass background checks required for utility sites Why SubProTech * Hourly pay + commission from day one * Sales-driven role with real technical credibility * High-growth company with proven leadership and industry relationships * Clear path from 1099 contractor to full-time employee * Direct access to decision-makers in utilities and critical infrastructure * Opportunity to help scale a company protecting mission-critical assets Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $24.00 - $29.50 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: Remote
