Steel City Tap Co. is looking for a passionate, beer-loving, and driven Entry-Level Outside Sales Representative to join our team. If you dream of being deeply involved in the craft beer world and want to spend your days chatting with brewers and visiting breweries , this is your opportunity. We manufacture custom, high-quality tap handles that serve as the crucial first impression for a brewery's brand. In this role, you will be the face of Steel City Tap Co., actively engaging with potential clients--primarily brewers and breweries --and nurturing existing accounts to drive our growth within the beverage industry. Your enthusiasm for the craft, combined with your strategic sales mindset, will help expand our presence across designated territories, getting our unique handles on bars everywhere. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for a proactive professional eager to make an impact, develop professional sales skills, and immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of the brewing community. Key Responsibilities * Become a Brewery Brand Partner: Develop relationships with brewers and brewery decision-makers, understanding their brand story to recommend the perfect custom tap handle solution. * Territory Immersion: Develop and execute strategic plans for territory management to maximize sales opportunities among local and regional breweries. * Tap Handle Evangelist: Identify and generate new business leads through cold calling, on-site brewery visits, networking at industry events (like beer festivals), and targeted outreach to brewers and distributors. * Product Showcase: Conduct engaging demonstrations of our custom tap handles and manufacturing capabilities, clearly communicating how a premium handle elevates a brewery's brand presence at the tap. * Account Nurturing: Manage existing brewery customer accounts by providing exceptional service, upselling new product runs, and ensuring they are thrilled with their custom handles. * Sales Strategy: Utilize CRM software (like Salesforce) to track sales activities, manage pipeline data, and analyze market trends within the brewing industry for continuous improvement. * Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract and pricing agreements with brewery clients to close deals that align with company objectives. * Industry Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and promotional strategies tailored to boost brand awareness within the brewer and distributor community. Qualifications * A Deep Love for Craft Beer: A genuine passion for the brewing industry, breweries , and the culture surrounding craft beverages is essential. * Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills necessary to build lasting relationships with brewers and industry professionals. * Sales Drive: A proactive, self-motivated approach to lead generation, including cold calling and direct outreach. * Business Acumen: Ability to analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic plans for capturing new brewery accounts. * Technical Presentation: Ability to conduct effective product demos and clearly explain design, material, and manufacturing features to diverse brewery audiences. * CRM Familiarity: Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce or similar platforms is a plus, but not required for this entry-level role.
