Reports To: Quality (QA) Manager Department: Quality Classification: Non-Exempt ABOUT THE COMPANY: Takumi Stamping, Inc. Ohio Plant in Fairfield directly supports the production of Toyota, Subaru and Lexus. Our mission To support the goals and challenges of our customers while striving for quality perfection in our processes, products, and customer service ACCOUNTABILTY OBJECTIVES: The QA Translator will support the Quality Assurance Department. The role will also support translation for New Project and Maintenance departments as needed. Mainly follow the QA Manager 's instruction and support Japanese associates. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY: * Translate between Japanese/local members during the daily meetings, etc. * Document translation. * Gather data and prepare for Monthly QA Meeting with Headquarter in Japan, and attend QA Meeting for translation. * Other project as needed such as Mass Defect Countermeasure, etc. * Japanese QA support member's support (translation, interpretation etc). * Prepare and update tools related to QA/Projects. * Email exchange with Headquarter in Japan/Customer regarding Pre-Production * Additional Tasks will be assigned by a supervisor when necessary. RELATIONSHIPS : * Reports and is accountable to the QA Manager. * Internal contacts: All internal departments. * External contacts: Headquarter in Japan/TSI-CN, TX/Customers/Suppliers, etc. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS : * Follow up on all necessary requirements to ensure meeting 's the customers due date * Accurate data summarizing (sales data per vehicle models) in timely manner EXPERIENCE, EDUCATIONS, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS : * Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English (Both verbally and in writing to promote communication) * Automotive industry experience is a big plus. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: * Translation Experience * English- Japanese Bilingual * Microsoft Office, especially Excel (graph, vlookup etc.) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. * Safety glasses, steel toe shoes, ear plug and hat are required on the floor.
