We are hiring for our Sales & Applications Rotation Program- a 2-year development track designed to build future Account Managers at BBP. At BBP, we're developing future Account Managers through a 2-year rotational role that blends inside sales execution with application and product knowledge. As a Sales & Applications Associate, you'll gain foundational experience across quoting, order processing, and customer support while learning how to match technical solutions to customer challenges. Job Summary (Years 1 -2: Rotational Inside Sales Role): As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll play a key role in supporting customer needs through quoting, order entry, and account support. This multifaceted position is at the core of our customer experience, ensuring our clients receive accurate information, timely service, and effective solutions to meet their needs. Essential Responsibilities: * Develop a strong working knowledge of BBP's products, services, and sales processes * Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, providing accurate information and basic technical assistance * Create accurate and timely price quotes based on customer specifications and pricing guidelines * Efficiently process and track customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all order details * Monitor shipments, resolve order discrepancies, and communicate delivery status to customers * Maintain up-to-date customer records in the CRM and ERP systems * Build foundational relationships with customers to support long-term account success * Collaborate closely with account managers, operations, technical support, and marketing teams * Participate in structured product and vendor training programs to prepare for future outside sales responsibilities * Shadow experienced Account Managers to gain exposure to customer site visits, project scoping, and long-term sales strategies Job Summary (Post-Rotation: Transition to Account Manager): After successfully completing the Inside Sales rotation, you will assume full responsibility for a defined sales territory as an Account Manager. You'll be responsible for achieving sales growth, deepening customer relationships, and delivering solutions across BBP's full portfolio. Core Responsibilities as Account Manager: * Promote and sell BBP products and services with a focus on value-driven, technical sales * Build lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers through regular calls, site visits, and consultative selling * Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory * Deliver in-person and virtual product demonstrations tailored to customer needs * Develop and present proposals, quotes, and pricing agreements * Analyze market conditions, customer trends, and sales performance data to inform strategy * Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments (technical service, operations, accounting, etc.) * Provide feedback on market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer needs * Represent BBP at industry events, trade shows, and training sessions Education and Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business, or related field) * 0-2 years of professional work experience; internships or co-op experience in sales, customer service, or technical fields are a plus * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills * Comfortable with technical products and problem-solving * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM or ERP experience a plus * A strong desire to build a long-term career in technical sales Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Application Question(s): * Do you live in the Knoxville, TN area?
