The Product Specialist Engineer serves as a key customer-facing technical and commercial resource, supporting OEM equipment, spare parts, modernizations, repairs, and field services within the metals industry. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, developing scopes of work and proposals, managing projects, and driving sales opportunities related to copper equipment, with exposure to aluminum and steel applications. Key Responsibilities * Manage and grow sales volume within assigned customer accounts by identifying RFQs and new business opportunities * Develop and review scopes of work, proposals, and supply requirements for spare parts, projects, and field services * Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, and product management to clarify technical and commercial requirements * Review, approve, and authorize customer proposals prior to submission * Partner with customers on equipment upgrades, best manufacturing practices, and performance improvement initiatives * Support project execution by monitoring schedules, deliverables, and customer expectations * Maintain CRM records, meeting reports, expense reports, and customer documentation * Coordinate with internal teams and global divisions to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs Salary: $80,000-$100,000 + Annual Bonus Travel: 45% (North America; initial training in Germany) Qualifications * Engineering degree with 5+ years of metals industry experience, or 8+ years of industry experience without a degree * Experience with metals equipment; extrusion experience strongly preferred * Strong sales, negotiation, and customer relationship skills * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment documentation * Knowledge of project management principles * Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems; CAD/CAM experience a plus * Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America What 's Offered * Competitive salary with annual bonus * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Paid vacation and holidays * 401(k) with company match * Training, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Paid training * Vision insurance Ability to Commute: * Pittsburgh, PA 15226 (Required) Willingness to travel: * 50% (Required) Work Location: In person
