Commercial Lines Account Manager (Hybrid) Location: Detroit, MI

Compensation

: $65,000-$75,000 annually (hourly, overtime eligible) + bonus potential Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Work Model:

• Hybrid role: currently 3 days in-office / 2 remote
• Mondays are in-office for team collaboration A well-established, privately owned insurance agency is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to support a growing commercial book of business. This is a service-focused role--no new business marketing or renewal marketing responsibilities. You'll join a collaborative, close-knit team in a newly renovated, modern office, with strong internal support and a true emphasis on work-life balance. What You 'll Be Doing
• Service and manage an existing commercial lines book of business
• Handle renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and client inquiries
• Provide guidance on coverage questions and policy details
• Issue and manage Certificates of Insurance
• Work closely with Producers and internal service teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow-through within the AMS
• Deliver high-level client service to premium and surplus accounts Note: Processors handle submissions and post-submission follow-up, and a dedicated team assists with claims-related administrative work. What We 're Looking For
• 3-5 years of commercial lines insurance experience preferred (Candidates with blended personal/commercial experience will be considered)
• Experience managing renewals and servicing an active book of business
• Strong understanding of commercial coverages and client servicing
• Familiarity with AMS platforms (AMS360 experience is a plus)
• Highly organized with excellent follow-through
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Carrier-side experience (Underwriting or Claims) is also welcome
