*Lumber Delivery Driver - Class A GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY Salary DOE Responsible for delivering building materials to customer's job site using the most efficient route available and ensures that all delivery schedules are made within a timely manner. Ensures SAFETY at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for delivering to customer's jobsite using the most efficient route available * Complies with all highway rules and regulations * Ensures that delivery schedules are met, while providing friendly and professional service * Assists customers with loading and or unloading of materials while at the job site * Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS * Meets and greets contractors and do-it yourselfers while providing exceptional customer service by assisting with the selection and loading of materials * Accurately pulls and stages materials to be picked up or delivered to ensure schedules are met * Contributes to maintain the inventory in the yard by conducting cycle counts, keeping the yard organized, ensuring the correct material is shipped and received * Follows all policies and procedures in the yard including sales, inventory and safety * Properly uses and maintains equipment. * Must have min. 4 years driving experience SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS * Current Class A ODL * Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment desirable * Ability to participate as a team member * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. * Forklift Operator experience * Piggy back operation experience * Complies with ODOT rules and regulations * Delivers with tractor trailer or smaller trucks with piggy back forklift or dump loads * Duties to change or be added due to certain circumstances * Must be able to work safely at a fast pace EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE * 1-3 Years driving experience * Must have excellent driving record * Lumber experience helpful, but will train Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * AD&D insurance * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid sick time * Paid time off * Prescription drug insurance * Referral program * Retirement plan Trucking Driver Type: * Company driver Trucking Route: * Local Work Days: * Weekdays * Weekends as needed Experience: * Heavy & Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers: 1 year (Preferred) * Driving: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: * CDL A (Preferred) Work Location: In person
