MBS Accountancy is a full-service accounting firm that is on a mission to change how clients view accountants. To help us achieve our ambitious growth goals, we are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with 3-4 years of prior tax and public accounting firm experience. As a senior tax accountant, your responsibility will be to: * Manage client engagements * Oversee accounting and tax processes * Mentor junior staff. * Review and finalize client financial statements. * Approve/review journal entries and supporting schedules from staff. * Prepare and/or review financials for tax, audit, and management reporting. Provide insights from variance analysis. * Prepare and/or review business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065) and complex individual returns (1040 with Schedule C, E, etc.). * Prepare tax projections, estimated payments, and year-end planning. * Serve as a point of contact for accounting and tax inquiries. * Manage workload assignments for junior staff. Review workpapers and returns for accuracy. * Oversee 1099s, sales tax, payroll tax filings, and compliance calendars. * Guide staff accountants on technical issues, software, and client service. * Lead ad hoc projects (e.g., M&A due diligence, cash flow planning, system implementations). * Be assigned additional duties and special projects, as needed. The ideal candidate will have: * A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting * High attention to detail and organization to track multiple projects and tasks * Ability to self-manage and deliver results on time and accurately to meet deadlines * A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills * Business/Professional level verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of the entire MS Office Suite, G-Suite, and comfort with technology * Experience with QuickBooks Online, with the ability to achieve QBO ProAdvisor certification Why Work Here?
