Job Description: Food Service Cashier Classification: Staff Schedule: Ten Month; Part -Time Supervises: No Reports To: Food Service Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt General Description The Food Service Cashier will provide assistance in the food service program by accounting for meals and revenues. Qualifications * Be a born-again believer, maintaining a testimony that is above reproach * Active in local, evangelical church. * Be in agreement with the Lakeland Christian School Statement of Faith and staff qualifications. * High School diploma or equivalent. * Ability to operate computer/point of sale. * Have people skills, use tact and grace in dealing with people and have a servant's heart. * Be punctual each day to report to job and be flexible in adjusting to interruptions. * Be able to work in a team environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities A. General responsibilities include: * Uphold and ensure compliance of all LCS policies and procedures. * Maintain a professional appearance. * Run computer/point of sale for each lunch. * Responsible for knowing and following the safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job as provided by the Food Service Manager. * Follow sanitation and health regulations. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Must possess a positive attitude and work well with others. Physical Demands * Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, bend, lift up to 30 lbs. * Significant fine finger dexterity. * Minimal temperature variations. * Mental acuity to perform the essential functions of this position. * This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
