Job Overview This is a long-term career opportunity for an established sales professional, not an entry-level position. Minimum Qualifications: * 3+ years of documented B2B outside sales experience (retail, and counter sales do not qualify) * Stable employment history - minimum 2 years tenure at each of your last two positions * Proven track record of territory development and account retention * Documented success in consultative, relationship-based selling * Experience with sales cycle management (30-90+ day cycles) * Valid driver's license with clean driving record * Associate degree required Candidates must be prepared to: * Provide documented sales results from previous positions * Supply references from long-term clients (3+ year relationships) * Explain employment history and reason for each job transition * Commit to minimum 2-year territory development and growth plan ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY Expanding BOBCAT dealership seeks experienced B2B outside sales professional to build and manage assigned territory for long-term growth. This is a 5-year career path position with clear advancement opportunities into senior sales, key accounts, or sales management roles. WHAT YOU'LL DO Territory & Relationship Management: * Develop and maintain multi-year customer relationships in assigned territory * Grow existing accounts through consultative needs analysis and solution selling * Build pipeline through strategic prospecting and cold-calling for appointments * Visit construction jobsites to identify equipment needs and develop new customers * Document all sales activities and customer interactions in CRM system Product Expertise & Demonstration: * Complete comprehensive learning path to become expert on full line of Bobcat compact construction products * Operate and demonstrate equipment for customers and prospects * Provide technical consultation on equipment selection and applications * Drive sales of equipment, extended warranty plans, rentals, parts and service Territory Ownership: * Manage sales process from initial contact through delivery and follow-up * Develop and execute annual territory growth plan * Identify market opportunities and competitive intelligence * Represent Emery Equipment at industry events and trade shows WHO SUCCEEDS IN THIS ROLE You are a self-starting, commission-driven professional who: * Takes ownership of results and accountability for territory growth * Excels at building trust-based, long-term customer relationships * Thrives in outside sales environment with autonomy and structure * Demonstrates exceptional communication and problem-solving skills * Stays highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail * Works collaboratively with service, parts, and rental teams to serve customers * Can physically load, unload, and tow compact construction equipment as needed Preferred but not required: * Construction, equipment, or heavy machinery industry experience * Spanish language skills * Knowledge of compact construction equipment applications COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS PACKAGE * Competitive base salary commensurate with experience * Uncapped commission structure with quarterly bonuses for growth goals * Company vehicle * Company cell phone * Company laptop * Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision) * Life insurance and disability coverage * Simple IRA plan with company matching * Paid time off for vacation and holidays * Continuing education and manufacturer training: * Bobcat University online courses * In-person training at Fargo, NC training facility * Industry certifications and professional development ABOUT EMERY EQUIPMENT Established in 1966, EMERY EQUIPMENT is a woman-owned and operated full- service Bobcat dealership.
