Job Summary Coated Metals Group (CMG), an employee-owned leader in the architectural sheet metal industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Coordinator to join our Livonia, MI team. This role plays a critical part in supporting branch success by combining customer-facing service and sales support with in-office and administrative assistance for the Outside Sales Representative. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail and is eager to learn and cross-train across multiple business functions. Duties Reception & Customer Service * Answer inbound office calls and route as appropriate. * Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers and contractors. * Provide friendly, solutions-focused support for product and order inquiries. Sales Support * Enter new sales orders accurately into Sage 100 ERP. * Respond to customer questions regarding material availability, lead times, and product details. * Process sample requests, including shipping and labeling. * Assist with warranty documentation. General Branch Support * Assist the General Manager and Outside Sales Representative with daily operational tasks, reporting, and communication. * Cross-train across functional areas to provide backup support as needed. * Support process improvements to increase branch efficiency and customer satisfaction. Skills * Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, strongly preferred. * 0-4 years of professional experience, preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) required. ERP experience preferred (e.g., Sage 100). * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to perform basic math operations. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a team-oriented environment. * Previous experience in inside sales or customer service preferred, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or construction-related industries.
