We looking for a Sales and Design associate with a passion for design, excellent taste, and a strong sense of what is trending in Interior Design and Decor. The candidate will also need strong marketing skills/social media. Couch is a fully custom shop that builds each sofa from the ground up to meet the client's unique needs. We need someone warm and communicative who can build trust and guide clients through an extensive design process. Being able to visualize what a client is describing and give them constructive but gentle advice where needed is key. Great verbal, written and visual communication skills are essential. Someone quick and eager to learn will excel in this position because the amount of product knowledge and attention to technical detail required for this job is extensive. Design, sales, or customer service experience will be crucial to success. The environment is laid back and supportive for both clients and staff. Saturdays and are a must have. Duties include, but are not limited to: -Taking custom sales and inquiries from initial interactions through to a successful close. -Building relationships with clients and designers. - Helping clients select styles and materials based on strong product knowledge & lifestyle needs - Working with suppliers and managing stock inventory. - Setting up deliveries - Drawing basic plans in SketchUp. -Marketing, help build our social media accounts - Tracking what is trending, and reflecting those trends in the store.
