SILVER CLOUD HOTEL SEATTLE - LAKE UNION location is looking for a talented, passionate and team building hospitality professional to fill our Director of Sales position. An exciting environment located on the south end of scenic Lake Union, the hotel is also located near Seattle Center and the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center. The hotel features 184 guest rooms and suites, with 2,000 sq/ft of meeting space. Silver Cloud Hotels, founded in 1980, is proud to celebrate over 40 years of providing outstanding guest service. POSITION PURPOSE: The Director of Sales is responsible for the hotel's overall sales efforts, including client visits, site tours, RFP, and contract execution. Additionally, the Director of Sales helps to establish budgeting and revenue strategies for the hotel and works closely to support the General Manager with operational logistics for the hotel. IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE: EXPERIENCE: o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal o Experience in developing and executing hotel sales strategies o Possess a gracious, friendly and fun demeanor o Experience in planning and executing client sales visits, trade shows or promotional events o Experience with budgeting and forecasting o Experience in Hotel Sales, with a focus on Corporate account retention and prospecting o Strong networking within the travel and hospitality industry EDUCATION: High School Diploma or its equivalent. Bachelors degree or higher in related field preferred. COMPENSATION Salary Range is $85,000 - $95,000 annually and is based on applicable experience and work history.
