Job Description: Vanderloop Shoes is seeking Retail Sales Associate(s) that are motivated to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue. Also working closely with the store manager to ensure the store has the best retail environment for prospective and current customers. We are looking for leadership in our stores who have the drive to succeed and be able to grow business. Candidates will be required to learn and gain the knowledge necessary to sell footwear, accessories and other products on the retail sales floor to a variety of customers. The candidate must have the ability to work one on one with casual and industrial footwear customers to ensure they receive the proper fit and most effective products for their intended purposes . Responsibilities: * Welcome and identify customer needs and be able to close a sale on retail floor * Explain products, services and other merchandise to customers * Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock * Enter and process customer orders * Investigate and resolve customer complaints * Use computer applications (point of sale) to process sales and maintain customer records * Change store displays and up-keep of merchandise on sales floor (clean shelves, counters, redo displays etc...) Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to helping customer try on footwear, opening/closing of store and the duties that are attached to that, keep up on current or future sales, and have the ability to teach and learn from others about new sales techniques or new footwear on retail floor. Hours of availability needed are M-F 9am-7pm, and Sat 9am-4pm Qualifications: * Previous experience in sales (retail sales preferred but not required), customer service, or other related fields * Good computer skills, experience with point of sales systems is a plus * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment * Ability to build rapport with customers * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong self motivation to research, learn, and retain a large product line and individual account requirements * Ability to bend and kneel repeatedly throughout day to help customers try on footwear * Ability to reach above head, stand on ladder and lift 15-25 pounds to get inventory off shelves and re-display store. Hours: Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm Saturday 9:00am - 4:00pm Sunday Closed Job Type: Part-time Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits: * Employee discount * Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
