Job
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Territory Manager to lead our sales efforts within designated regions. This role involves developing new business opportunities, managing existing client accounts, and expanding our market presence through strategic management of territory sales. This role combines strategic account management with new business development and requires a hands-on, field-based sales professional who understands the construction or countertop industry. As a key player in our sales team, you will utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track leads, manage customer relationships, and analyze sales data to optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned sales territory through consistent prospecting, relationship building, and account development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, designers, property managers, and retail partners
- Actively pursue new business opportunities and expand market share within the territory
- Conduct in-person sales calls, jobsite visits, and showroom meetings
- Present product offerings including quartz, granite, marble, and other countertop materials
- Collaborate with estimating, production, and installation teams to ensure accurate quotes and timely project execution
- Track leads, opportunities, and customer activity in CRM systems
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the territory
- Represent the company professionally at industry events, builder meetings, and networking functions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience (construction, building materials, or countertop industry preferred)
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead negotiations and close deals effectively
- Expertise in business development, lead generation, and account management strategies
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer relationships and analyzing data
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to conduct engaging product demos and upsell solutions effectively
- Analytical skills to assess market data and develop strategic plans for territory growth
- Experience in retail sales or direct sales environments is a plus
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to building new business opportunities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within assigned territory Preferred Experience
- Countertop fabrication or installation sales
- Builder, contractor, or design-center relationships
- Knowledge of measuring, templating, and installation processes
