Account Manager Location: Knoxville, TN Job Type: Full-Time In person About Bacon & Company Bacon & Company is a 100+ year-old, family-owned Branded merchandise and apparel company with full in-house production capabilities. We serve customers across Corporate Uniforms, Corporate sales, Wholesale, and Team Sports, delivering high-quality branded apparel and merchandise through a combination of outside sales, inside support, and in-house production. Position Overview The Account Manager is an inside sales and customer service role responsible for supporting Sales Executives while independently managing a defined book of customer accounts. This position services accounts from A-Z, including quoting, supplier sourcing, art coordination, order entry, purchasing, and inside selling. In addition, the Account Manager is responsible for handling walk-in customers and helping manage and maintain the Bacon & Co. showroom. The Account Manager plays a key role in delivering a professional, welcoming customer experience while ensuring all orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Customer Service, Walk-In & Showroom Management * Interact with customers via telephone, email, in person, and walk-in traffic * Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers * Manage and maintain the Bacon & Co. showroom, including product displays, samples, and overall presentation * Assist walk-in customers with product selection, quoting, and order placement * Service existing customers and resolve day-to-day issues * Listen to customer needs and gather information required to meet specifications * Create professional sales presentations and product proposals * Obtain customer approval prior to placing orders * Resolve product or service issues through clear communication, corrective action, and follow-up Sales Support & Inside Selling * Support Sales Executives with customer service, pricing, and order processing * Work with the VP of Sales and director of Team and Corporate sales on customer pricing as needed * Proactively upsell and cross-sell products and services to assigned accounts and walk-in customers * Contribute to team sales efforts and attend sales meetings prepared when called upon * Keep leadership informed of general daily business activity Quoting, Purchasing & Supplier Management * Obtain pricing and specifications from suppliers * Source products using Premier Group suppliers as a first choice * Utilize ESP and other supplier tools to research and identify products * Create and process sales orders and purchase orders for apparel and hard goods * Place and track purchase orders with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery Art Coordination & Order Accuracy * Proof all artwork for spelling, grammar, and accuracy prior to submitting to designers * Work closely with internal artists on design concepts and revisions * Review supplier art proofs and authorize final approval prior to production * Ensure all orders are production-ready and approved before release Systems & Process Management * Enter and manage quotes, orders, and purchasing within sales software * Maintain strong working knowledge of sales software for daily business operations * File and maintain order documentation accurately * Follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement * Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications * 2-3 years in a customer service or administrative role * Strong product knowledge or ability to learn quickly * Proven problem-solving abilities * Prospecting and inside selling skills * Strong listening and professional communication skills both written and verbal * Professional email etiquette * Creativity and attention to detail * Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment * Motivation for sales growth and up-selling * Deadline-focused with strong time management skills * Ability to prioritize workload and multitask * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Experience in branded merchandise or apparel industry preferred Why Join Bacon & Company * Be part of a 100+ year-old, growing company with strong industry reputation * Work with a collaborative sales team with long term stability * Opportunity for career growth within sales and operations * Competitive compensation and 100% employer paid health and Vison insurance Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $40,000.00 per year Benefits: * Health insurance * Paid time off * Retirement plan * Vision insurance Work Location: In personBacon and Company
