Job Title: Sales Associate Job summary: Under direct supervision, provides exemplary guest service utilizing Yankee Candle best practice selling techniques; ensures visual merchandise/presentation and operational standards; supports store to meet or exceed divisional and store sales and profitability goals; restocks product; operates POS system to process guest purchases and wraps items; performs similar other duties primarily in support of a retail store operation. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Utilizes Yankee Candle best practice selling techniques to provide exemplary guest service. Maintains current knowledge of product, merchandise, store policy and company information in order to provide high quality and informed guest service. Follows standards including plan-o-grams, cleanliness, marketing/signage and sale promotions. Restocks shelves with product and accessories as needed. Completes light housekeeping to ensure store appearance remains at appropriate level. In addition assists in maintaining an organized backroom space. Maintains a safe and healthy workplace and shopping environment for our employees and guests. Carry out store safety, security and related procedures, as established. Uses a computer to process information and transactions. Operates POS system with speed and accuracy. Wrap guest purchases with care for transit.
