Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong sales background, particularly in a retail or grocery store environment. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by providing exceptional service, assisting with product selections, and driving sales through effective merchandising and upselling strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash handling practices and perform cashier duties as required.
• Demonstrate products to customers through engaging product demos to enhance their shopping experience.
• Assist in stocking shelves, merchandising products, and ensuring the store is well-organized.
• Utilize effective communication skills to engage with customers and address inquiries or concerns.
• Employ retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and product availability.
• Implement upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor to create an inviting shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store settings is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for transaction accuracy.
• Experience with merchandising techniques to effectively display products.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone calls.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team environment.
