Full description of the position

Guide customers through the vehicle purchasing process, from initial greeting to finalizing the sale. Responsibilities include greeting customers, understanding their needs and budget, presenting suitable new or used vehicles, arranging and conducting test drives, and explaining features. Consultants must also handle negotiations, complete sales paperwork, appraise trade-ins, and manage customer follow-up to foster repeat business. Key responsibilities * Customer interaction : Greet customers, build rapport, and act as the main point of contact throughout the sales process. * Needs assessment : Ask questions and listen to understand a customer's lifestyle, needs, and budget to recommend appropriate vehicles. * Vehicle presentation : Demonstrate new and used vehicles, provide test drives, and explain features and optional equipment. * Sales and negotiation : Guide customers through the sales process, including negotiating prices and presenting financing or lease options. * Administrative tasks : Complete sales orders, process all necessary paperwork, and maintain customer and prospect databases. * Trade-in valuation : Help appraise the value of a customer's trade-in vehicle. * Customer follow-up : Follow up on post-delivery items, schedule initial service appointments, and maintain a system to encourage repeat and referral business. * Product knowledge : Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the vehicles, their features, and technology.
