Job Type: Full-Time Permanent Location: Sugar Land / Houston Metro (on-site at HQ; hybrid after training) Travel: ~20% US travel most years + ~1 international trade show per year (Europe) About Houston Radar Houston Radar is a leading innovator in low-power radar technology, designing and manufacturing our products in the USA. We're a small, hands-on team where initiative matters and where you can grow quickly as you build skill and ownership. Role Overview We're hiring an early-career Sales Representative to become our primary customer-facing sales resource after training. This role blends inbound lead response, quoting, trade shows, customer visits, demos/trainings, and proactive outreach campaigns. If you're a recent graduate (or early in your career) who wants a real path toward a bigger sales role--including potential growth into a sales leadership position over time--this is a great opportunity. What You'll Do * Respond to sales inquiries via phone and email quickly and professionally * Qualify inbound leads and follow up consistently (including post-trade show lead follow-up) * Plan and execute trade show participation (10x10 pop-up booth setup/teardown; one-person job) in about 6 to 7 shows per year * Visit customers for periodic relationship "touches" (domestic travel ~20%) * Conduct product demos and customer trainings (remote and onsite) * Generate quotes for leads/inquiries and manage next steps through the process * Create and run outreach campaigns for target products and target customer segments (e.g., traffic engineers / ITS stakeholders) * Keep organized notes and activity tracking so nothing slips through the cracks Training + Work Schedule * Training period: on-site at our Sugar Land HQ (Mon-Fri) while you learn our products, applications, and workflow * After training (once you're working independently): Hybrid schedule -- in-office M/W/F, work from home T/Th * Remote-only applicants will not be considered What We 're Looking For * Strong written and verbal communication (email + phone) * Organized follow-through (you like finishing what you start) * Comfortable learning technical products and explaining them clearly * Willingness to travel domestically (~20%) and attend ~1 Europe trade show per year * Bachelor's degree preferred (new grads welcome to apply) * Valid driver's license; able to pass a background check (reliability matters) Nice to have (not required): experience with CRM, quoting, trade shows, customer-facing work, or B2B sales.
