General Manager Job Description / Blushington Houston (River Oaks) Blushington Beauty Longue is entering an exciting new chapter and Houston is at the center of it. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic General Manager to help launch and lead our team of Hair and Makeup Artists, and front of house staff for our new location, opening in River Oaks in March/April 2026. The general management position is a full time, salaried position with bonus potential. Experience with the Boulevard platform is preferred, but not required Leadership experience within a Franchise system is preferred, but not required Flexibility: the ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays Adept at problem-solving and able to think outside the box Comfortable managing complex schedules required Ability to read financial plans, meet and exceed KPI and OKR goals Computer skills (excel, word, Booking software etc.) Please send us your resume and cover letter, salary requirements as well as three professional references. Duties and Responsibilities GM Training. Manager will go through 2-3 weeks of paid training in order to execute responsibilities set forth. Includes all of Blushington's procedures, policies, and services. Training will be ongoing amongst Blushington's highly collaborative Management team. Performance. Responsible for the financial plan and overall performance of store location. Lead Team. Responsible for coaching and managing the Assistant Manager, Training team, Hair and Makeup Artists, Reception team, and Housekeeping. Scheduling. The Manager is responsible for all schedule management for the location (in-store, on location, and special events). Recruitment. Works in conjunction with the Store Leadership Team to ensure the store is fully staffed. Monitoring and responding to emails regularly. Developing relationships with local cosmetology and esthetics schools. Training and Education. The manager is responsible for overseeing the training of new hires and continuing education with the assistance of the Training Team. Training to include: all signature looks, all esthetic services when applicable, Sanitation Standards, ongoing product knowledge, regularly scheduled workshops, and vendor training as well as retailing techniques and best practices. Inventory Management. Manage both the retail, professional and disposable inventory and back of house supplies. Responsible for performing monthly physical counts. Ordering. The manager is responsible for ordering all products and supplies for the store location. Reporting. The Manager is responsible for submitting weekly reporting on results and payroll. Performance Evaluations. The Manager is responsible for conducting regular coaching sessions and annual reviews. Disciplinary Action. Manager will be responsible for implementing and monitoring disciplinary protocols, and if applicable terminating employees. Quality Control. The manager is responsible for quality control at the location, maintaining the highest Blushington standards, across all services, and the appearance of the store. Merchandising. The manager is responsible for implementing weekly displays per company-wide planning. Sanitation. The manager is responsible for maintaining the highest levels of sanitation in all areas of the store, particularly ensuring the cleanliness, and sanitation of hair and makeup stations, tools, in compliance with state regulations and Blushington standards. Customer Service. Ensuring the highest level of customer service is being met and addressing any and all issues that arise. Monitoring customer reviews and survey results consistently and responding in a timely manner. Marketing. Implementation of company-wide marketing initiatives, and opportunities to represent the brand in your local community. Communication. Regular communication with your team via email and in- person touch bases to provide updates on plan and company initiatives. Motivational Contests. Manager will be responsible for brainstorming and implementing weekly contests, and coaching the team on retailing techniques, pre-booking goals, and revenue expectations.
