Brief Summary of Position Purpose: * As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, processing and expediting orders, answering calls and emails, and providing expert support on our products and services. You'll troubleshoot issues, resolve inquiries quickly, and build strong relationships by understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities for new or improved solutions. This role combines sales, customer service, and a passion for helping businesses succeed. Essential Functions: * Provide expert consultation for implementation of valve products. * Process and follow through on customer inquiries regarding price quotations, parts availability, shipping dates, shipping methods, customer orders, RGAs and credit memos. * Trace customer shipments. * Expedite delinquent customer orders. * Investigate invoice and shipping errors. * Provide support in all matters pertaining to products, customers and pricing issues. * Technical understanding of all product lines to be effective in understanding each accounts business and opportunities that exist to develop new products, recommend improvements to existing products and services, or to help solve technical inquiries. * Communicate pricing of all products for the account with the support and any approvals needed from the Product Manager * Other duties as assigned Education/Training/Certifications: * Associate Degree or related experience. * Bachelor Degree in a technical field preferred. Required Skill Sets: (e.g., computer skills, communications, math, etc.) * Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. * Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point). * Good business, sales and marketing skills for highly engineered products. * Proficient keyboard/typing skills. * Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment. Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, travel, etc.) * Position requires concentration, accuracy, and focused mental effort. * Works in normal office environment with occasional exposure to plant heat, moderate noise, dust, dirt and fumes. * Requires up to 25% travel via airplane or auto to customer locations and to other Sherwood locations as required.
