Full description of the position

Job Responsibilities * Meet face to face with NS personnel (both engineering and purchasing) to resolve issues and evaluate opportunities * Must communicate demands and initiatives to Corporate and the Tie plants to assure all NS requirements are being met * Track and manage all key performance indicators (KPIs) * Trace, bill and assist in fleet management to drive production planning and manage inventory levels * Purchase order management * Resolve any invoice or accounts payable issues in a timely manner to minimize any impact to cash flow * Recognize and notify both Koppers and NS of potential cost savings opportunities * Manage railcar status, i.e., trace reporting * Notify respective personnel (procurement, engineering, treating plants) of any potential impacts to production based on railcar supply and inventory levels * Manage the NS switch tie priorities and orders and coordinate with roadway material yard * Assist with recurring production meetings between NS and Koppers Plants Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, forestry or related field * 2-3 years of experience in operations, logistics, or marketing/sales * Ability to make decisions, plan and analyze information * Strong organization and leadership skills * Excellent communication skills * Proficiency with Microsoft word, MS-DOS, Excel and Outlook Koppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
