Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions accurately, and assisting customers with product selections. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail sales or grocery store environments. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive shopping experience and support store operations through merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and offering product recommendations
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Assist with merchandising tasks to ensure attractive product displays
• Stock shelves and maintain organized inventory levels
• Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
• Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone
• Support store cleanliness and organization through regular stocking and merchandising efforts

Qualifications

• Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred
• Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and retail math calculations
• Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
• Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive attitude
