Full description of the position
Director of Business Development Purpose The Director of Business Development plays an essential role in the growth of HC3 by leading, managing, and holding the Business Development team accountable for increasing company revenue and coordinating with our partner relationships to drive revenue. By providing overall direction and coaching support to the sales team, this position directly impacts the size of the company's client base and, in turn, the company's overall revenue. Responsibilities The responsibilities for this position include the following: * Provide general Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA) for the Business Development team. * Implement and execute an effective opportunity strategy. * Stay informed about industry knowledge, competition, and HC3 products and solutions. Key Metrics * Meet revenue goals * Total signed revenue for both new and existing revenue clients * Meet new revenue (clients) deals closed * Meet existing revenue (clients) deals closed * Manage accuracy for Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) to Deals created and closed Education, Experience, and Certifications Required * Bachelor's Degree in sales or related field * 10+ years of professional sales experience in financial services, core, or fintech * Experience coaching business development teams and/or leadership coaching * Experience managing pipeline and tracking activity via CRM tool * Basic computer skills Preferred * Sales certification or experience with Jobs To Be Done methodology * Familiarity with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) * Knowledge of Microsoft business applications * Experience working at a financial institution Supervisory Responsibility This role provides direct oversight and direction to the Business Development team, including assigning work, hiring open positions, and conducting performance reviews. Work Environment Work will be performed in a climate-controlled office space. Travel This role requires travel to conferences and presentations. Occasional flights and overnight travel may be necessary. Physical Demand This role will require using a computer for long periods of time while either sitting or standing. Position Type and Expected Hours This is a full-time position with responsibilities that may require night and weekend work in order to remain available to direct reports and area(s) of oversight, and a flexible schedule to remain available to meet with clients and prospective clients.
