Regional Sales Rep - Seattle, WA At Great Notion, we strive to keep beer fun! We're looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic person to join our team as a sales representative in the state of Washington and really build our presence in the Seattle area. You will help grow our wholesale business by securing new distribution points and increasing draft and packaged beer sales in both existing and new accounts. Driving brand awareness throughout the region and building relationships with retailers, beer drinkers and our distribution wholesale partners will be key. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Promote, sell, merchandise and effectively build brand awareness with retailers and consumers. * Identify and pursue new opportunities for distribution in on & off premise accounts and develop new accounts. * Work with the team to develop long and short term growth goals and priorities. * Identify and execute activities that will ensure the success of these goals, i.e., tap takeovers, in-store sampling events, etc. * Report back to management on weekly progress and market insights * Report back to wholesale partners with market visit summary, new orders, achievements, planned activities and any assistance needed. * Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts in key accounts. * Participate in beer tastings and assessments for quality control and brand education at our Ballard or Georgetown taprooms. * Ensure that quality standards are clearly understood and enforced by distributors and retailers. * Regular visits to bars, restaurants and other retailers (~20 wk). * Attend and participate in team meetings. * Represent Great Notion at select festivals and events as well as at tastings and other promotions. * Act professionally at all times ; be responsible with alcohol! * Complete all necessary reporting and communications in a timely manner. * Additional duties as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: * Outgoing personality and passion and excitement for Great Notion Brewing! * Ability to follow up, follow through and close sales. Strong persuasive skills - ability to identify opportunities and influence decision making. * 2+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the beverage industry. * Ability to communicate thoroughly and effectively in a timely manner. Ability to work independently. Strong organizational & planning skills. * Achieve weekly/monthly account visit goals. * Promote brands through samplings, hand-sells, and promotions. REQUIREMENTS: * HS Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. * Flexible work schedule to include nights and weekends / events. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Reliable, registered and insured vehicle. Ability to pass a background check.
