Overview - We are expanding to our new location in Birmingham, AL. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their shopping needs. You will engage with customers, perform product demonstrations, and ensure that the store is well-stocked and organized. We offer an hourly rate with opportunity for commissions. This is a W-2 role. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement. * Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns promptly. * Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves and arranging displays effectively. * Operate cash registers accurately, handling transactions efficiently while ensuring a positive checkout experience for customers. * Utilize basic math skills for processing sales transactions and managing inventory levels. * Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and promote store initiatives. * Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies as needed. * Stay informed about new products and promotions to effectively communicate with customers. Requirements * Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. * Basic math skills for handling transactions and understanding retail math concepts. * Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. * Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as this will enhance communication with our diverse customer base. * A proactive attitude towards learning about products and sales techniques is essential. * Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required for stocking duties.
