Expert Heating and Cooling, located in Taylor, Michigan, specializes in Commercial and Residential HVAC Services. We are currently seeking a results- oriented HVAC Commercial Sales Representative to join our team!. The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for generating leads, selling preventative maintenance agreements to new and prospective commercial customers, selling retrofit projects, and developing long-term relationships to ensure continued business. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, as well as an understanding of HVAC systems and customer needs. Essential Functions and Business Development: * The primary requirement for this position is possessing first call experience. This position conducts phone cold calls and walk in cold calls to commercial customers with the objective of setting a formal meeting with the decision maker of the facility. * Solicit/secure business opportunities from existing customers through personal visits, telephone and/or written communications. * Screens potential business opportunities/prospects by analyzing market strategies, scope of work, evaluating options, ability to deliver the product and/or service, examining risks and evaluating customer needs and goals to meet or exceed sales objectives. * Develops sales operating plan to increase core growth with key accounts and key/new customers. * Coordinates with company construction, production and material distribution operations to ensure product/service availability according to customer contract requirements. * Provides customers an understanding of the selection and use of processes, materials, equipment and logistics required by the contract. * Establishes the company as the vendor of choice by providing exceptional service that sets the company apart from the competition. * Establish pricing for products/services that balances optimal profitability with long-term territory and company needs. Qualifications * BS degree in Sales and Marketing, related field or equivalent experience. * Minimum of 2-4 years? progressive experience of specialty construction material/service sales, installation of construction materials, specifically former education, and knowledge of HVAC. * Ideal candidate has proven record of presenting and closing service contracts. * Must have prior success in making presentations to prospective customers with strong ability to sell value in a persuasive manner. * Ability to quickly form relationships and build trust. * Must have a track record of being organized, efficient, and able to manage a high number of suspects and prospects at different stages of the sales funnel. * Ability and willingness to travel to Expert Heating and Cooling office in Taylor, MI. * Must possess a valid driver?s license and satisfactory driving record. * Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. * Basic computer proficiency, Word, Outlook, Excel and ability to manage CRM. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff. * Exhibit strong business acumen, skills and maturity and the ability to work effectively with others. * Highly developed organizational and planning skills, time management skills and written/oral and presentation communications skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes. * Must be an intelligent creative problem solver. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Able to work on multiple tasks and handle multiple projects. Physical requirements and Job Environment * All Sales Representatives are required to perform site visits that may require climbing ladders, entering confined spaces, entering food locations, or other means to collect information, meet customers as well as co-workers or sub-contractors. * Environmental conditions may vary due to work conditions outdoors at all times of the year.
