OVERVIEW The Phinery is a interior design firm headquartered in the Ballard neighborhood of North Seattle. We run hundreds of furnishing and remodeling residential projects each year, and are launching a new home store in 2026 featuring The Phinery's new product collection. We are looking for an experienced store manager with an entrepreneurial mindset to support the successful launch and growth of our new retail operation. The ideal candidate for this position has experience working in a retail environment and is well versed in customer service, store operations, and general management. This candidate is wanting to take on a leadership role within a fast growing company, crafting the direction and growth of our retail operation. The store will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays only, allowing weekdays for store resets, private appointments, and running store operations. Potential Work Schedules for this Role: Friday-Monday: 8-6pm (4 days) Friday-Tuesday: 9-5pm (5 days) Thursday-Monday: 9-5pm (5 days) RESPONSIBILITIES * Inventory Management: Shipment Scheduling/Handling, Warehouse Management, POS System Updates, Tagging, Claims, Counting, Display * Store Look & Feel: Seasonal Restyling, Signage, Upkeep, Restock * Customer Service: Product Selection, Cash Wrap, Returns/Exchanges, Custom Orders * Personnel Mgmt: Hiring, Training, Shift Mgmt * Marketing: Promotions, Events * eCommerce: Pick/Pack, Catalog Mgmt * Reporting: Sales, Inventory, Customer Insight REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree (preferably in business) * A minimum of 2 years store management or comparable experience * Proven leadership and sales skills * Entrepreneurial mindset * Outgoing, friendly, people person * Proficiency with Mac based computing and Microsoft Office Suite * Proficiency using POS systems, spreadsheets and Google docs BENEFITS: * Health insurance * Employee discount * Paid time off * 401(k) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Vision insurance Education: * Bachelor's (Required) Work Location: In person
