Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product demonstrations, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective merchandising, stocking, and upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
• Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies.
• Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities.
• Supervise junior staff members when required, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse clientele.
• Experience with product demos is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
