Job Overview: Hotel Houze Detroit Downtown is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our hotel's revenue growth initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in hospitality sales, group bookings, corporate accounts, and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing hotel sales, generating leads, responding to RFPs, and building long-term client relationships. This is a high-impact position for a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, strong hospitality knowledge, and the ability to drive both individual and team success. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue across group, corporate, and transient markets. * Manage and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals. * Generate, qualify, and manage leads, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion. * Respond to RFPs and manage group bookings, ensuring maximum profitability and client satisfaction. * Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns, promotions, and initiatives to increase visibility and sales. * Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including corporations, travel planners, and event coordinators. * Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hotelogix, or similar) to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and analyze performance metrics. * Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive positioning, and new business opportunities. * Work closely with operations and revenue management teams to ensure seamless customer experiences. * Monitor team performance and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and results. Qualifications: * Minimum 5+ years of hospitality or hotel sales experience, with proven success in group, corporate, or B2B sales. * Strong understanding of hotel sales operations, leads management, RFPs, and group contracts. * Demonstrated ability to generate revenue, negotiate contracts, and manage key accounts. * Experience with CRM and sales management tools for tracking and reporting. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Strategic thinker with the ability to identify business opportunities and create actionable plans. * Knowledge of marketing strategies relevant to the hospitality industry is highly desirable. * Customer-focused with exceptional service skills and a professional presence.
