Home Decor Sales Specialist Area Rug Co. is looking for a out-going and self-motivated individual with a strong sales background and creative eye for interior design for our location in Rochester Hills, Michigan! Area Rug Co. currently has one existing location in vibrant downtown Birmingham that opened in 2021 and has enjoyed a successful start with features on television and the newspaper. We recently opened our second location in Rochester Hills (Rochester Rd. & Auburn in the Target Plaza) with a larger showroom and more selection of area rugs, home decor, and accessories. Some additional information is below: Online: [please apply online] Instagram: @arearugco Responsibilities * Assist customers in selecting home decor items that meet their needs and preferences. * Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising. * Process transactions accurately using the POS system and handle cash with care. * Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. * Demonstrate product features and benefits to enhance sales opportunities. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and ensure a positive shopping experience. Qualifications * Proven experience in retail sales with a strong focus on customer service * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Proficiency in cash handling and retail math * Ability to operate POS systems and conduct product demonstrations * Experience in merchandising and upselling techniques The Rewards: We start at $17.00/hr + Commission for all products sold.
