About the Role We're seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our second-hand on site furniture team. In this role, you'll help customers find unique, high-quality pre-owned pieces while also providing support through our social media channels. If you enjoy home decor, sustainable shopping, and customer interaction both in-store and online, this position is a great fit. Key Responsibilities * Greet customers and offer knowledgeable assistance with furniture selection * Answer questions about product condition, materials, measurements, and availability * Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using POS systems * Following procedures to maintain a safe and secure work environment * Maintain the sales floor by arranging furniture, creating appealing displays, and ensuring items are clean and tagged * Assist with furniture movement, lifting, and floor resets as needed * Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries on social media (e.g., item details, pricing, delivery options, store hours) * Inspect incoming items and help with pricing, tagging, and inventory organization * Stay informed about new arrivals, promotions, and store policies * Help meet sales goals and contribute to a positive team environment * Becoming a subject matter expert (go to person) on a topic/trend/brand you are passionate about (Mid Century, antiques, office furniture, electronics, sports equipment, etc.) and sharing your knowledge with other team members - and especially with customers. * Sense of humor, personal integrity, and appreciation for the power of teamwork. Required Skills & Qualifications * Strong customer service and communication skills * Interest in furniture, home decor, or second-hand/vintage items * Comfortable using POS systems and basic inventory tools * Ability to evaluate product condition and describe it accurately * Experience with social media messaging or online customer service is a plus * Ability to lift and move items (with assistance when needed) * Organized, dependable, and able to multitask on a busy sales floor * Previous retail or furniture sales experience a plus, but not required * Available to work, weekends and weekdays, shifts are typically 10 am - 6:30 (may change in future, flexibility is critical) * Full time, 40 hours per with with eligibility for overtime with management approval * $20- $26/ hour - depending on experience and knowledge Why Join Us? * Competitive pay * 401k * Health Insurance * Employee discount on furniture and decor * Opportunities to learn about furniture restoration, pricing, and merchandising * Supportive, creative, and sustainability-focused team environment Application process: Please communicate your interest in this opportunity by submitting your resume to [please apply online].
