Job Title: Front Counter Sales Associate Location: Tyler Industrial Supply, Ketchikan, AK Position Overview: Tyler Industrial Supply. is seeking an energetic, reliable and customer- focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll work directly with customers--both walk-in and account-based--to assess their needs and provide the products and solutions that support their operations. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a passion for helping customers, and experience with industrial tools or materials. Key Responsibilities: Sales and Customer Service: * Assist customers in selecting the right tools, supplies, and metal products for their projects or operations. * Provide knowledgeable recommendations and technical support on product specifications and applications. * Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and help grow new accounts * Prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up on inquiries * Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing to ensure product availability. * Stay up to date on industry trends, new products, and vendor offerings. * Support merchandising, product displays, and general store operations as needed. Key Qualifications: * Clean & valid driver's license * A self-motivated, team-oriented attitude * Strong understanding of tools, equipment, and/or metal materials * Computer/software savvy * Strong communication skills * Lifting (up to 60lbs.)
