Job Summary Boardriders Hawaii is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Supervisor to join our new Waikk flagship store team. Located near the iconic Duke Kahanamoku statue, our flagship store represents the heart of surf and action sports culture. You'll be part of a fast-paced, energetic team representing leading brands that include Quiksilver, Billabong, Volcom, Roxy, and RVCA, while contributing to an elevated shopping experience that reflects the Boardriders lifestyle and Hawaii's unique surf heritage. The Retail Supervisor is responsible for executing the direction of the Store Manager and the Corporate Office to achieve business results and Brand Standard, as well as acquiring and developing talent for the store and providing the highest level of customer service while upholding all company programs. The Supervisor is to further develop basic management skills and exhibit leadership skills to prepare for potential promotion to Assistant Manager with a broader goal to reach Store Manager. Key Responsibilities * Assists in the management, supervision, coaching, support of retail staff and regularly provide feedback (positive and developmental) to Sales Associates * In partnership with the Store Manager, utilize company training programs including but not limited to Sales Associate Onboarding, Company Sales programs, store operations, and product information * Exhibits exceptional customer service and selling skills, modeling appropriate behaviors for Sales Associates * Assist in the management of store sales and communicate daily performance and sales goals with the staff * Manage daily store operations, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensure all POS (Point of Sale) system operations are accurately processed and recorded * Assist in the execution of all visual presentation standards and promotional event set ups * Maintain floor appearance by stocking shelves, organizing displays, daily store cleaning and ensuring all other operational store functions are up to standard * Handle customer concerns professionally and in a timely manner * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications * 1-2 years previous customer service oriented experience * Minimum 6 months related retail management experience * High school graduate or equivalent * Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and motivate staff to meet and exceed sales goals * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment with strong organizational skills and time management * Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and basic math skills * Familiarity with the brands and action sports industry * Flexible schedule able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays * Ability to work in a team oriented environment Physical Demands * Ability to climb, reach, bend and lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds with assistance occasionally * Ability to operate cash register and fold and display merchandise * Ability to work on the store sales floor for extended periods - 95% or more of assigned shift * Ability to communicate through oral interactions What We Offer * Health insurance * Employee discount * Competitive pay * Flexible scheduling * Opportunities for growth and advancement * Supportive team environment Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits: * Employee discount * Flexible schedule * Health insurance Work Location: In person
