Summary: The Outside Motor and Pump Sales position will be responsible for maintaining and growing our current customer base in their assigned territory. This individual will be responsible for providing technical services to support the customers needs and future projects. They will be responsible for quoting replacement pumps, motors, panels, etc. along with building new pump packages based off of the customers need. They will also be the liaison between the repair facilities in Tampa and North Fort Myers and the end user to make sure the repairs and service and addressed in a timely manner. This individual must have strong communication skills, be detail oriented, willing and able to work as a team, and have great time management. * Call on existing customers and maintain current business. * Locate and grow future customer base. * Perform service calls in the field and continue to develop customer relations. * Quote and spec electric motors, control panels, pumps, drives, soft starters, etc. * An understanding on how to size, read curves, and select the appropriate pumps for different applications. * Build new pump packages while working closely with general contractors, engineers, and the end users to meet their needs. * Perform and provide start up reports for new packages and provide any necessary or documentation as required by the customer, manufacturer, or local regulatory entities. * Maintain a sense of urgency while having a proactive attitude. * Provide technical service and support to customers while addressing any problems or needs. * Work closely with the inside sales and repair team to complete repairs. * Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work independently and as a team. * Proficient with Microsoft Office. * Monitor competitor activity within assigned territory * Once orders are received, are the main point of contact for the project between the customer, vendors, and internal staff. * Communicate with vendors on lead times, pricing, availability, and product specifications to have all product delivered at appropriate times. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks. * Valid Florida drivers license and clean driving record. * Have the drive to help grow the company. * Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. * Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
