Full description of the position
Overview The Senior Account Manager in the Systems Division plays a pivotal role in managing high-value client relationships within the Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, Decarbonization, and Digitalization sectors. The Senior Account Manager focuses on delivering integrated system solutions that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and innovation across industrial environments. With deep knowledge of these markets, this role drives strategic growth through consultative sales, cross-functional collaboration, and long-term account development. This Senior Account Manager will have experience in Technical Sales, Account Management, Relationship Management, a strong understanding of rotating/reciprocating equipment, and a proven ability to exceed performance targets. Responsibilities Sales Strategy and Growth * Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to both new and existing accounts. * Conduct needs analysis and compare product offerings to recommend optimal solutions. * Lead the full sales cycle: presentations, pricing negotiations, and deal closure. * Collaborate internally on proposal development and reporting to management. * Maintain accurate CRM records and sales documentation. Prospecting and New Business Development * Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to both new and existing accounts. * Conduct needs analysis and compares product offerings to recommend optimal solutions. Prospecting and New Business Development * Identify and qualify potential customers, including key decision-makers and their buying behaviors. * Execute outreach strategies to generate leads and convert prospects into clients. Account Management and Expansion * Analyze existing accounts to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. * Ensure accounts are aligned with Burckhardt Compression US business objectives and performance standards. * Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and other support teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction. Forecasting and Reporting * Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making. Experience * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field. * 8-10 years of B2B sales, including lead generation and territory management in Oil & Gas/Energy domain. * 3+ years of selling integrated products and services in a complex sales environment. * Proven track record of achieving revenue targets. * Strong understanding of rotating equipment, especially compression equipment. * Good understanding of balance of plant equipment. * Good understanding of manufacturing systems, automation, and integration technologies. * Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions. * Experience in aftermarket compression services is a plus but not required. Skills and Core Competencies Communication and Reasoning * Strong written & verbal communication skills to address diverse audiences. * Strong negotiation and presentation skills. * Good ability to interpret technical documents, regulations, and business publications. * Good logical thinking ability to solve problems and follow instructions in various formats. Technical Proficiency * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). * Experienced with CRM systems, email platforms, databases, and digital recordkeeping. * Capable of creating spreadsheets, presentations, and basic graphic content.
