Full description of the position

Essential Job Functions 1. Prepare proposals.* Knowledgeable in technical equipment sizing programs.* Research materials of equipment fabrication, assess availability and cost.* Experience in gathering cost of both; raw material (Steel plate, castings etc.) and equipment (Valves, instruments, pumps, etc.) required. 2. Make personal sales calls to end users and related agencies around the world. 3. Negotiate sales contracts with prospective customers. 4. Promptly report contract information to company with a detailed report and conduct project kick off meetings. 5. Answer all inquiries from customer quotations assigned. 6. Coordinate, participate in and attend area seminars, exhibitions and trade shows. 7. Obtain information on market trends around the world. 8. Obtain market information to identify and contact potential future customers. 9. Obtain market information on competitors including their product offerings, pricing and business methods 10. Develop local contacts for sales support activities including translation, introductions and negotiations. 11. Host visiting delegations for sales purposes. 12. All other duties as assigned by the VP of Sales and Marketing. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Detailed Knowledge of and customer contacts assigned. 2. Ability to rapidly and thoroughly learn the technical details of company equipment and processes. 3. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to people from other cultures. 4. Knowledge of and ability to function effectively in other cultures, language skills are a plus. 5. Proven negotiating skills. 6. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. 7. Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally for up to 20 weeks per year. 8. Ability to utilize computer systems for costing, proposal and contract preparation 9.
